Welcome to the new AdMavericks. Well, the content and the straight forward no-nonsense approach to all things advertising will remain the same, but the look of the site has changed dramatically. Plus we’ve offered a few tools to help you, and ourselves towards a common goal of more interactive goodness for all.

Here’s what we did:
Gave our readers the ability to share our content with the world through social media platforms. We have added social media bookmarks to the bottom of each post (like the ones on this post) making it easier to share our content.
We listened to our readers who said, “Love the content, but the design makes it hard to read.” Problem solved we hope.
We have also provided ways to follow AdMavericks more easily on Twitter . Get your follow on!
Also, RSS is a good thing, and now you can subscribe a whole lot easier.
We also have a new Lessing Flynn Facebook profile page. We’d rather have friends than fans, we try to be humble like that. Even if you don’t want to be our friend on Facebook, our profile pic alone is worth clicking the link for. And as far as how we did it, I’ll quote the original Maverick and say, “Uh, that’s classified. I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you.” I digress, this Top Gun theme is getting the best of me.
The inspiration:

Props to Chris Hanson for the mad photo shop skills and for the blog design. Also need to thank the folks at Blue Compass Interactive for making our three column design come to life while still using the WordPress.com platform. Nice work!
It’s fun working at an ad agency where an idea like this actually gets the green light. Too often these kind of ideas are considered too “over the top” before they see the light of day. I’m glad we saw this one through. And while our president, Tom Flynn III is not at all like the cocky Pete Mitchell a.k.a. “Maverick” in real life, he has agreed to be referred to as “Maverick” from this day forward. Me on the other hand? I am still asking myself why I have to be the dead guy, “Goose.”
We hope you like the new site. Talk to me, Goose, and let us know what you think, even if You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’ for the AdMavericks.
