The last thing I want to do is remind you that the nation’s current and future economic state is bleak, you already know that. I’m simply choosing not to participate in this recession, I wish more would take that attitude. But that aside most are looking over their financial plans and doing some belt-tightening in both business and personal affairs. However that doesn’t mean you have to cut back on your charitable giving altogether. Check out GoodSearch, it’s a Yahoo-powered search engine that gives 50% of its revenue to American charities.

Each search nets about a penny from the site’s advertisers and directs it to the charity or school of your choice. What a great idea! How difficult is it to type in a charity of your choice and then whatever it is you’re looking for?!
According to GoodSearch the ASPCA has earned $27,862 since the site’s inception. If you can’t find the cause of your choice, here is the link to add yours and start giving. Or if you’re shopping online try GoodSearch’s sister site GoodShop, where up to 30% of your purchase will go to your favorite charity. Now you’re saving money while shopping and giving back to the community! Double-whammy!

It’s not really my style to beg for a Re-Tweet, or for you to forward this to your friends and colleagues. But when charities like the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation can benefit I just ask that you give it a thought. So tell all your friends and get your GoodSearch on!
