Got Muffins?

What do Little Debbie, Aerosmith and the Lessing-Flynn intern have in common?

Little Debbie recently launched Intern Hero, which offers interns and their company a big box of Little Debbie muffins for promoting Little Debbie muffins. All you have to do is take a picture of yourself with a sign asking for muffins. Here are the rules.

Well, you know what comes next. Our own intern, Spencer Anderson in all his glory promoting Little Debbie in front of the Lessing-Flynn awning.

The picture says enough, and before I get a phone call from the Better Internship Bureau, let me state that my idea was a sandwich board and Spencer deviated from that plan with his own personal twist. Half the office got involved in this effort.

Well Little Debbie posted this picture on Friday and offered these words: “Wow. Obscure Aerosmith reference? Check. Possible intern humiliation by standing out front of the office wearing a box? Maybe. We’re passing along a whole host of Little Debbies Spencer’s way to cushion his fall.”

This is a brilliant campaign. And I’m not just saying that because they picked our photo. (Well maybe a little). But not since the Mentos Intern two summers ago have I seen a company using the intern as the hero so well. The beauty of the Mentos Intern campaign was that people spent a lot of time talking about Mentos. Now, I’m blogging about Little Debbie muffins. You are reading about Little Debbie muffins.  When you go to the store this week, you just might buy Little Debbie Muffins. Are you salivating yet?

Classic! You guys seem to have a lot of fun over there. Good to have you in the mix here in DeMo…

Spencer — Forget the muffins, you got cahones, son (and I’m NOT referring to the photo)…

Keep Cooking!
Andrew
