The Ad Mavericks blog started year one last January. We thought we’d share just a few examples of how “practicing what we preach” has paid off for us. Some stats:
Nearly 40,000 blog visitors in 2009 – with our highest traffic coming in December – with over 4,000 visits.
200 blog posts. At the beginning of the year, we worried about being able to have enough time and content to make this blog worth a read. It has been much easier than we expected.
400 comments. We’re quite proud of the fact that we’ve been able to spark conversation about different marketing ideas on our site. And while many marketers we talk to fear bad comments on their blog should they start one, we saw no problems with this. In fact, it was refreshing having people provide different opinions than our posts. And many times, the comments were better written than the posts themselves.
400 visits to the Ad Mavericks blog via the LessingFlynn.com website and more than 900 visits from the Ad Mavericks blog to the Lessing-Flynn website. Blogs increase traffic. Period.
Our blog has consistently been ranked in the top 1 percent of blogs since last fall. It is also featured on AllTop – a collection of top blogs searchable by industry.
Most importantly, the blog has given us an opportunity to demonstrate our company’s personality and brand, which has led to a number of new relationships, opportunities and business.
Here’s a quick snapshot of a presentation we put on earlier this year on how social media has helped Lessing-Flynn. Enjoy!
We think it’s been a quite successful year for the Ad Mavericks blog and we have plans to make it even better in 2010. Have a great new year and we’ll see you in 2010!
