DES MOINES, IOWA (September 18, 2012) – Lessing-Flynn Advertising went to Stillwater, Oklahoma for its newest hire and is pleased to welcome Oklahoma State University cowgirl Kylee Willard to the team as a project manager.

Willard earned her bachelors degree from Oklahoma State in Agricultural Communications, with an emphasis in animal science and business. She remained at the university to earn a masters degree in Agricultural Communications. As Communications Services Graduate Assistant at the Robert M. Kerr Food and Agricultural Products Center, Willard conducted research to identify the staff and stakeholder perceptions of the center’s brand.

The work experience portion of her resume is equally impressive. Willard served as Corporate Marketing and Global Brand Strategy Initiative Intern at Vermeer Corporation, and worked as Social Media Community Manager and Image Sales Consultant for ShowChampions Photography of Alberta, Canada. She also caught the entrepreneurial spirit and assisted in establishing the tech startup, TheShowText.com, which provides subscribers real-time livestock show and sale results, and industry updates via text messaging.

Lessing-Flynn Vice President Jess Held says Willard’s extensive background in agriculture and livestock will be a tremendous asset since many of Lessing-Flynn’s clients are in the agriculture industry.

“Kylee has been involved with agriculture and livestock her entire life. She grew up on a farm, studied ag communications and animal science in college, and has worked in these industries for multiple companies, including her tech startup. She understands the industry and speaks the language of our clients and their customers,” said Held.
